Subscription box services have come into their own in the past few years. Packed with toys, jewelry and apparel and based on a specific theme, these collections require the perfect container to allow them to shine in the competitive marketplace. While the contents are the real star, the boxes in which these items are shipped can be of critical importance in setting the stage for the customer and for raising awareness of these subscription services among the general public. Custom Boxes Now (CBN) recently had the opportunity to work with an up-and-coming entry in the subscription box marketplace. Fandom of the Month is a new business that provides curated collections of jewelry and accessories for movie and television fans. The entire CBN staff is proud to name Fandom of the Month our client of the month.
Unique Items Require Innovative Packaging
Erin from Fandom of the Month approached us after demand for her curated subscription box expanded far more quickly than she had anticipated. As a small, family-owned business, Fandom of the Month needed affordable and attractive boxes to help build their brand and to showcase the items included in each collection, which typically includes key chains, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and pins designed to suit the fandom community. CBN was happy to take on the challenge and started work right away to design a box ideal for these unique movie, book and television-themed items.
Fandom of the Month
The innovative concept behind the Fandom of the Month subscription jewelry collection is derived from some of the most beloved books, movies and television programs around the world. Each piece of jewelry is placed with care in a screen-printed drawstring bag emblazoned with an image or quote from the movie, book or television series from which its inspiration was drawn. Featured source materials include the following:
The jewelry and accessories included in these collections allow subscribers to show their devotion to their favorite books, movies and television shows in the fandom community.
Corrugated Durability and Custom Images
Because the items to be shipped in the Fandom of the Month box were both small and delicate, Erin and the CBN team opted for corrugated cardboard boxes to reduce shipping costs while providing superior protection for contents. Fandom of the Month’s corporate logo is a stylized picture of an owl carrying a package in an obvious homage to the owl postal service in Harry Potter. CBN emblazoned this unique logo atop a bright red striped background to create a visually appealing design for the top of the box. We then included the company name and added promotional material on the sides to optimize use of exterior marketing real estate. The entire process took only two weeks from initial contact to production.
Erin cited our fast turnaround times and exceptional customer service as positive factors that will make her a repeat customer. At CBN, we look forward to the chance to impress our clients and to take on new challenges. The innovative business plan and unique requirements outlined by Fandom of the Month are among the many reasons this company was chosen as CBN’s client of the month.
